The Buckhead Security Plan is a collaborative effort to create an actionable and sustainable crime reduction and public safety strategy for the residents, businesses and visitors to Atlanta’s premier shopping, commercial and residential district. Designed by the Atlanta Police Department, the Buckhead Coalition, the Atlanta Police Foundation, and members of Atlanta City Council, with input from numerous civic, business and neighborhood organizations throughout Buckhead, the program is designed to reduce crime by substantially increasing police presence and enforcement.
The program will be directed by APD’s Zone 2 Command and seek to unify public and private sector investments to increase police visibility, enhance law enforcement response times, and ensure that public sector safety investments are made more effective by strategic private sector support. Funds will be invested only with the concurrence of the Buckhead Coalition and the Atlanta Police Foundation.
