PHCA Is looking to reinvigorate the Block Captain Program. Block Captains will be an extension of the board to help develop stronger communication lines from the board to residents and vice versa. The board is 12 members covering approximately 800 households in our neighborhood and we recognize stronger connectivity to everyone will help us in pursuit of a safe and vibrant neighborhood for our families.

Block Captains are the backbone of a successful neighborhood organization. The primary role of the Block Captain is to engage with your neighbors to alert them of PCHA initiatives/upcoming events and most importantly raise concerns to the board that may be currently not reaching us. Block Captains will be invited to attend specific board meetings and serve as the collective voice for the many streets in Peachtree Hills.

Block Captains also build a vision for a clean and beautiful block. This can include items like helping neighbors with yard work, organizing block parties, and coordinating activities for children.

We currently have Block Captains who are interested in continuing their work with us and we want to enhance their participation. Going forward we would like to reduce the number of households each Block Captain is responsible for. Therefore we are accepting volunteers for every street in Peachtree Hills. The streets where we have the most urgent need for are: Fairhaven Circle, Glenwood Drive, Hurst Drive, Kinsey Court, Shenandoah/Kings Circle, Springdale Drive, Stephen Long Drive, Virginia Place North and South.
